About Us

Mt. Vernon Unitarian Universalist Fellowship (MTVUUF) is a lay-led Fellowship, so each of our services is different. We hold services every Sunday at 10 a.m., either in our building or on Zoom, as indicated on the Sunday Services link . Visitors are welcome. For Zoom login info, email information@mtvernonuuf.org.

Unitarian Universalism

Unitarian Universalists claim no statement of doctrine. We believe there is no one right way to lead a religious or spiritual life. We value each individual’s spiritual journey, and believe in reason, freedom, equality, and love. We strive to affirm and promote the seven principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association.

1st Principle: The inherent worth and dignity of every person;
2nd Principle: Justice, equity and compassion in human relations;
3rd Principle: Acceptance of one another and encouragement to spiritual growth in our congregations;
4th Principle: A free and responsible search for truth and meaning;
5th Principle: The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process within our congregations and in society at large;
6th Principle: The goal of world community with peace, liberty, and justice for all;
7th Principle: Respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.

Our Mission

Along with affirming and promoting the seven principles of the Unitarian Universalist Association, we strive to enable spiritual, intellectual, ethical, and emotional growth for all ages, work for compassionate justice, and respect the interdependence of all existence. We are a Welcoming Congregation, which welcomes diversity of race, sexual orientation, age, abilities, culture, religious backgrounds, and beliefs.
